Who We Are

Our firm was created by a physician who has worked in healthcare for over 25 years and is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare delivery. We are a group of health care experts with backgrounds in space design, who understand the functional needs of healthcare facilities and the science behind the importance of design in a healing space to foster safety, comfort and restoration.

Our team has day jobs. We continue to work on the front lines of healthcare.

Yet we feel passionate about using our experience and understanding to help designers create the best spaces for patients and healthcare workers. This includes patient hospital and outpatient space, virtual space for digital health offerings and back-of-the- house staff offices. It is time to make our healing spaces beautiful spaces.

Why Garnet Road? Our founder, Dawn Francis, MD, MHS, was raised in the high mountains of Colorado. Her childhood home is called “Garnet Road” named because naturally occurring garnets are found in the surface soil. The name evokes home, comfort, and beautiful surprises that can be found if we just look closely enough.
